  Mr. Nickless, age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at Gladwin Pines Nursing Center following a lingering illness. He was born in Gladwin County on November 10,1907 to the late Walter and Iva ( Bellinger) Nickless. He married the former Ethel Breault on June 15, 1933 in Gladwin: she survives him. He lived in Gladwin all his life. He was a member of the Gladwin County Farm Bureau, the Historical Society and he worked at farming and carpentry.
  
  Surviving besides his wife Ethel are 1 son; Walter Gordon Nickless of Lowell, 2 daughters Noreen Peters of Gladwin and Nadine Denkins of Kershaw South Carolina. 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, 2 brothers Clare of Bay City and Gerald Nickless of Gladwin. He was predeceased by three sisters.
  
  Funeral Services were held at 11:00 am on Thursday March 8, 2001 with Rev. Donald Haskell presiding with burial in McClure Cemetery. The Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
